JAMMU: The Army foiled a drone intrusion as well as an infiltration bid along the Line of Control (LoC) in two different sectors of J&K’s Rajouri district on Sunday night.
Alert troops posted in a forward area in the Sunderbani sector fired four rounds targeting a Pakistani quadcopter that had entered the Indian territory, forcing it to return to the other side.
In the Keri sector, troops noticed suspicious movement of some persons and opened fire, forcing the infiltrators to flee back to Pakistan occupied Kashmir. A massive search operation has been launched to find if there was any drone-dropping or anything suspicious left behind by the infiltrators, officials said.
