Karan Johar’s ‘Purple Patch’: Family Photos from Yash and Roohi’s 7th Birthday | – Times of India

Karan Johar has no qualms admitting that he is ‘going through a purple patch’ with his darling twins Yash and Roohi.
The director on Sunday, took to his handle to share some gorgeous family photos from the twins’ 7th birthday. The proud dad shared photos of himself and the kids rocking matching ‘Willy Wonka’ themed tracksuits as they posed together for the shoot amidst their elaborate balloon backdrop.

The director shared in his caption, “My world …. The idea of balloons are more than a decoration to me… they have always represented joy and celebration and a magical feeling of happiness …. My first film is full of them … and even now my inner child comes alive when I have them around … Am so happy to have passed on my joy of balloons to my twins … who overreact as much to them as I do….”

As his twins, whom he best described as his “brightest sunshines,” turned seven on Wednesday, KJo penned a heart-warming note that read, “Happiest birthday to the brightest sunshines (x2) of my life! My life is forever changed, for the best with you two coming into it with your goofy and adorable laughs, unadulterated sass towards ME and of course – an abundance of love to give to the world! Never change…grow up but never change.”
He went on to thank his mother Hiroo, whom he called the strength to his family.
“And thank you to my mom, who is forever the strength of our family…and being a mother figure to Yash & Roohi! Love you forever mom.”

Karan welcomed his twins Roohi and Yash in 2017, via surrogacy. When not busy on the film sets tending to work commitment, the director often treats fans to his adorable home videos with the munchkins in a series of Instagram posts.
On the work front, he has ‘Yodha’ with Sidharth Malhotra and ‘Jigra’ with Alia Bhatt lined up for release.
