Rakul Preet Singh is known to make it into movies on her own, coming from an army background. The actress did a lot of movies in the south, before she made her Hindi cinem debut. Rakul still continues to balance work within both the industries. The actress was last seen in Kamal Haasan’s ‘Indian 2’ and has admitted that she has lost out on movies due to nepotismhowever, she doesn’t really dwell too much into it.
Rakul said during a chat with Ranveer Allahbadia on his podcast, “Yes, this happens, and I have lost films, but I am not the kind of person jo bitter hoke beth jaayega (who will sit and sulk). Maybe those films weren’t meant for me.” The actress doesn’t believe in being bitter about it and that also comes from the teachings of her father who belonged to the army.
This helped her to not fixate on what’s beyond her control. She added, “I had to go into the army; my dad would share his experience with me. Nepotism, I don’t think too much about it. If a doctor is unable to join the board and someone else is sent there, it’s just the way life works. If a star kid gets easy access, the credit goes to their parents who have worked hard for it.”
Rakul tied the knot this year with Jackky Bhagnani. The duo had an intimate wedding in Goa which was just attended by their close friends and family.
On work front, Rakul will be seen next in ‘The The Pyaar The 2‘ alongside Ajay Devgn.
